About Rabindra Bharati University (RBU)
Rabindra Bharati University (RBU) was established on 8th May 1962, under the Rabindra Bharati Act of the Government of West Bengal, 1961. This university was founded to commemorate the birth centenary of the esteemed poet Rabindranath Tagore and is the third university to be established in Kolkata.
