Gurgaon Rapid Metro Route Map 2024:- The Gurgaon (Gurugram) Metro, also known as the Rapid Metro, features a single metro line with 11 stations. This system was developed by Rapid MetroRail Gurgaon (RMRG), a project spearheaded by Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Limited (IL&FS). The first phase of the project involved constructing a 5.1 km line connecting Delhi Metro’s Sikanderpur Station (on the Yellow Line) to the DLF Cybercity business district. This phase was inaugurated and opened for public use on November 14, 2013. In the second phase, a 7 km extension was completed and launched on March 31, 2017. This extension linked Sikanderpur Station to Sector 55-56 via five new stations along Golf Course Road.

The entire Gurgaon Metro line is operated by 12 three-coach trains, supplied by CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Works under a subcontract from Siemens. On October 22, 2019, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) assumed control of the Gurgaon Metro operations. This change occurred after RMRG, the original operator, faced challenges with low ridership and high operational costs. Several new metro lines have been proposed to further connect Gurgaon with its various neighborhoods and neighboring areas such as Dwarka, Bawal, Manesar, Faridabad, and Sohna. However, these proposals are still awaiting approval from the Haryana Government. The Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) is responsible for overseeing the execution of these future projects.
