Hyderabad Metro Route Map:- The Hyderabad Metro is a state-of-the-art mass rapid transit system serving Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. Hyderabad Metro History

The idea of establishing a metro system in Hyderabad was first proposed in 2003 to address the growing city’s traffic congestion and transportation needs. The project officially began on November 29, 2017, inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, and the Chief Minister of Telangana, Shri K. Chandrashekar Rao, at the Miyapur Metro Station.

Implemented by Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL), a public-private partnership between the Government of Telangana and L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (LTMRHL), a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro Limited, the first phase included the Red Line and the Blue Line. The Red Line runs from Miyapur to LB Nagar, while the Blue Line connects Nagole to Raidurg.

Hyderabad Metro Current and Upcoming Projects

Operational Projects:

• Red Line: Covers 29 km from Miyapur to LB Nagar with 27 stations, including key areas like Ameerpet, Punjagutta, Begumpet, Secunderabad, and Dilsukhnagar.
• Blue Line: Extends 27 km from Nagole to Raidurg, passing through 23 stations and significant locations such as Uppal, Tarnaka, Secunderabad, Ameerpet, and Jubilee Hills.
• Green Line: Runs 16.6 km between JBS (Jubilee Bus Station) and MGBS (Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station) with 15 stations, providing connectivity between major bus terminals.

Under-Construction Projects:

• Purple Line: Also known as Corridor 2 or the East-West corridor, will run from BHEL to LB Nagar, covering 15 km with 14 stations, connecting areas like BHEL, Narsapur, Khairatabad, and Kothapet.
• Pink Line: Known as Corridor 3 or the Nagole-Shilparamam Line, will stretch 30 km from Nagole to Shilparamam, with 29 stations connecting areas like Hitec City, Raidurg, and Gachibowli.
