Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test Application Form 2024

The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (O-TET) 2024 is a state-level examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha. This test is for individuals aspiring to become teachers in primary (Class I-V) and upper primary (Class VI-VIII) schools across Odisha. The O-TET is held once or twice a year, and successful candidates receive a certificate that remains valid for seven years. The exam comprises two papers: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is intended for those seeking to teach in primary schools, while Paper II is for those aiming to teach in upper primary schools.

  • 12th pass with 50% marks + 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • 12th pass with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Graduation + Diploma in Elementary Education/B.Ed. as per NCTE guidelines.
• For Paper-2:
  • Graduation with 50% marks + 1-year B.Ed.
  • Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Graduation with 45% marks + 1-year B.Ed. in accordance with NCTE.
  • Graduation with 50% marks + 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
  • 12th pass with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed.
